Troy Rose, Alberta Scout

Troy Rose started playing football at the age of 10 years old in 1980 at Coolangatta FC, Gold Coast QLD. Six years later he started his first professional senior game (1st grade) with the Coolangatta FC. At 17 Troy was playing senior football in the South Queensland Country League. Troy represented his region as a member of the Gold Coast Rep Team from 1990-1992. Troy also was on two Premiership teams in 1987 and 1997.

For the past four years, Troy has been the Player Coach for the Calgary Kangaroos and has coached the team to many tournament wins. He has been an Assistant Coach of the Northwind for the past three years under Greg Everett. He has toured with the Northwind to Pittsburgh, Arizona and Australia twice.
