Ontario League Starts Up

The regular season of the Ontario Australian Football League (OAFL) started this past weekend. Round 1 kicked off with a rematch of last year's Grand Final between the Toronto Downtown Dingos and Toronto Eagles. The Dingos sneeked out with another close win, this time by a mere three points.

Four of the five matches on the weekend were close tilts. This bodes well for the competitiveness we'll see in the league this year. A few of the clubs that missed the playoffs last year have beefed up their rosters and hope to make a run for the premiership.

Teams have the long weekend off before resuming with Round 2 on May 28th. Follow the season at www.ontariofooty.com.

Northwind's fundraising for their trip to the 2005 International Cup continues. After completing the Sporting Like 10K run on the weekend, the boys head to the links next.

Thanks to Audi Canada, someone will be walking away from next week's Cause for Oz Golf Tournament with a brand new 2006 Audi A3 2.0. Come out and take a swing. You could walk away with a sweet ride!
